What to do when both guys like you

Some girls would kill for a problem like this. They’d give anything for one guy, any guy, and there you are, try ing to juggle two! But just because you’re in an enviable position doesn’t mean it’s an easy situation to deal with. If you’ve been there, you know: Dating two guys can mean double trouble!
Maybe you’re out with one guy, and you run into the other. Or one guy shows up at your doorstep just as the other one is on his way out. Or how about one TEEN reader who’s dating two guys named Jeff! “One spells his name ‘G-E-O-F-F,’ so that makes it a little easier. But when my mom says, ‘Jeff’s on the phone,’ I never know which one I’m going to be talking to!”
So, is it possible to date two guys without feeling like a two-timer? Absolutely! There’s no rule regarding the number of guys a girl can go out with. As long as she doesn’t lead them on or intentionally try to make them jealous, it’s OK to “date around.” (Of course, it’s NOT a good idea to “sleep around” or get physically involved with lots of guys. In addition to the risks of getting pregnant or contracting an STD, a girl who sleeps around may also suffer from emotional wounds that can be difficult—if not impossible—to heal.) If you’re dating two guys, and you’re feeling pressure to choose one, try to figure out where that pressure is coming from.

1. Is it coming from a friend? if so, she may not be the best person for you to discuss your dilemma with. Perhaps she’s jealous, or perhaps her views on dating just don’t jibe with yours.

2. Is it coming from the guys?
Again, as long as you’re honest with them and let them know where they stand, they can either respect your decision NOT to make a decision—or move on.

3. Is it coming from you?
if you feel that you’re truly a one-guy kind of girl, do some serious soul searching. Write down why you’re attracted to each guy. If anything bugs you about them, write those things down, too. See if one guy comes out on top. If it’s still a “tie,” or if you don’t feel strongly swayed either way, then it’s possible that NEITHER guy is Mr. Right. And if that’s the case, then you’d be wise to double your efforts to hang on to your single status!
