1.Watch out when mixing seasonal fabrics. Don’t mix linen into a winter outfit unless you live in a tropical paradise. Fabrics that wear well in all sea sons? Denim, cotton and rayon.
2.If you’re mixing one color together (such as a red top with a red jacket), make sure the colors either match or blend well.
3.Get a second opinion from someone whose style you like. Have a friend over to rate your ideas, then return the favor…only if she asks!!!
4.Keeping your clothes on their hangers.lay your pieces on the floor in flat outfits. It will give you a better idea of what you have.
5.Some things cannot be dressed up,others cannot be dressed down, so forget it. Wear pumps with your sweats? Can you say tragedy?
6.Things that are too small or too big for you maybe salvageable. Cinch jeans that are too big with a simple leather belt. If a cotton blouse doesn’t but ton well, try wearing it over a cute T and tying it at the waist, or wear it layered under a sweater.
7.Never underes timate the transforming powers of shoes and accessories. Throw them into the mix in new ways.
8.No matter how cool your new creation is,make sure it looks good on you. Try it on, then check out your new outfit from all angles in a full-length mirror.
