How to treat genital warts
I was wondering if it aids in curing genital warts or does it just prevent them from forming? I had genital warts before. It has been a year since and there has been no recurrence thus far. Does that mean I am cured of genital warts? I understand that viral infection can’t be cured but mainly depends on the immunity system. Could you clarify? Also, can you tell me where I can take this vaccination to prevent genital warts from recurring and the said cervical cancer.
answer:
A vaccine stimulates the immune system of your own body to develop antibodies against a virus. Just like any other, the cervical cancer vaccine Gardasil was developed for the prevention of viral infection. It does not cover all kinds of virus, but it does address most of those that can cause cancer of the cervix. Incidentally, it has been found that this particular vaccine may even halt the progression of any pre-existing infection, in addition to preventing new ones. The future seems very bright for this and other vaccines as more cancers are being found to be related to viral infections.
