How can I get rid of peeling my finger/toenails habit?
I noticed recently I have the habit of peeling my finger/toe nails especially when I am thinking. Is this habit due to work stress? How can I get rid of this habit?
answer:
Do you find yourself subconsciously fiddling with your pen or shaking your legs under the table? If you do, you just have too much nervous energy which you are trying to expend without realizing it. Whenever you are in a situation where only your mind is engaged-like in a meeting -your hands and legs “itch” to do something. Chances are your nails are dry and brittle, and peel easily, right? Here’s a suggestion: put on nail polish in a colour that you like or if your nails look not so presentable and you don’t want to draw attention to it, put on some protective base coat. This will help strengthen the nail and protect the top layer from peeling. The only way to overcome this habit is to be conscious of what your hands are doing each time your mind is in action. Hopefully in time, you’ll be able to undo this habit.
