Can I be allergic to sex?
My girlfriend and I don’t use condoms, so it’s not a latex allergy. Any ideas what my rash could be?
answer:
The first is that you shave below the belt or are just naturally not so hairy. The less hairy you are, the more prone you’ll be to the natural chafing that occurs during sex. It’s also common for less hairy guys to have drier skin and be more prone to irritations. Either way, the solution is to lube up. Product called Very Private an over-the-counter product that contains antibacterial and antifungal properties. Which brings to the second possible cause: yeast. A yeast infection for a woman is akin to jock itch for a man, and both can be transmitted sexually. If you think that might be the case, ask her to make an appointment with her gynecologist, who will advise her on how to treat you both. In the meantime, use an anti fungal lube to control the spread of the rash during sex, and use a nonprescription jock-itch spray to control it at other times.
