For richer or poorer?
My fiance and I have fallen out over our wedding. I want a full-blown church job,but he thinks it’s a waste of money. Why can’t he see this important to me?
answer:
First off, ask yourself why you’re so set on having the works. Is it the realization of a childhood dream? Are you trying to prove something to your friends and family? Do you have a fetish for big frocks and men in shiny waistcoats with matching ties? Chances are you won’t have a valid reason for demanding the full-on bells scenario, except that it’s what you always expected you’d have.
Write down the five most important things you want from your wedding day, then get your man to do the same. Now compare lists to workout if there’s a way of organizing something that gives you both what you want. If you’re marrying the man you love, your wedding day will be special whether you get married in Westminster Abbey or the local B&Q car park.
