					<description>I would have to agree with the previous answer given, starting with the check for infection, followed by the appropriate follow-up. I had my ears originally pierced in my teens, they closed, and in my thirties I decided to get new piercings. In about 2 months, both ears had formed keloids. A dermatologist had to cut them off. I was advised not to pierce my ears again, there was a high likelihood of re-occurrence. The strange part of all of this, is that all through my pre-teens and teens, and even softball in my twenties, I was a tomb boy, got every kind of bruise, scratch, etc. you can get, but never did any of them form a keloid.</description>
