Is my pain caused by his bent penis?

I’m a 25-year-old woman who’s engaged to a 30-year-old man. My fiance has a slightly bent penis. Is this normal? When we have sex, I always feel a pain during the initial insertion and during intercourse as well. But when we do it with me on top of him, I don’t feel pain. Am I the one with a medical problem or is my pain caused by his bent penis? I didn’t have this much disturbing pain with my former boyfriend. Now, because of the discomfort, I often lose my mood for sex. We’re getting married soon and I’m afraid our sex life will suffer, and in turn, affect our marriage. I don’t want to discuss this with my fiance yet because it might affect him emotionally. Please advise me.

answer:
The man’s penis shape can cause discomfort during insertion as it affects the angle of entry. So for the woman, adapting to different angles is part of the deal. Naturally, the fear of pain can decrease your libido — it becomes a subconscious fear affecting you psychologically. Speak openly with your soon-to-be husband about the situation and together, you can both think of ways to decrease the discomfort. To be able to discuss and overcome sensitive matters like this, trust from both of you is required. If you worry that you might have a problem, go see your gynaecologist and have a pelvic examination to exclude any pelvic organ problems.
