I’m so scared I’ll get pregnant
When my boyfriend and I first started having sex we used a condom but recently he’s stopped and I’m so scared I’ll get pregnant. I wish he would use it but he says he doesn’t enjoy it with the condom and tells me not to worry. What am I to do?
answer:
Firstly, not using a condom during sexual intercourse is a very unwise decision. Unless both of you have been tested for diseases and are very sure you’re free of it, unprotected sex could have deadly consequences. Secondly, if you want to use a condom and your boyfriend doesn’t, you shouldn’t accept his decision just like that. Your wants and concerns matter in this relationship too. If pregnancy is your only concern, then discuss alternative forms of contraceptives. What does he mean when he tells you not to worry? If he thinks pulling out just before he ejaculates is a good form of contraception, he’d be wrong. Even pre-ejaculatory fluids contain small traces of sperm that can get you pregnant. So, unless he’s had a vasectomy, you do have something to worry about. If you don’t feel comfortable having sex without a condom, make that clear to him. Have this discussion outside of the bedroom. If he refuses to consider your wants, you have to ask yourself why you’re with someone who doesn’t care about your wants and needs.

NuvaRing should be taken out on the same day it was put in, 3 weeks later. Bleeding should start two to three days after it is taken out. The next ring must be put in one week later even if bleeding has not stopped. If NuvaRing has been left in place for more than 4 weeks, you could get pregnant. […]
