He doesn’t like it when I talk to other guys
I’m 23 and my boyfriend and I love each other. The only problem is he doesn’t like it when I talk to other guys. I recently went to the clinic because of a bad stomach ache and he was with me, but since the doctor was male, my boyfriend hasn’t talked to me since. I tried explaining that it was an emergency but he only gets angrier. I don’t want to lose him. How do I get him to understand?

Why do you not want to lose someone who is so stupidly jealous that he won’t even let you go to the doctor’s on your own in case you talk to a another man? He doesn’t sound right in the head to me and this kind of jealousy can only get worse - it never gets better. Suppose you get married and have children? Is he going to refuse to allow a male doctor to attend to you in childbirth? You can try reasoning with him if you like but he doesn’t seem the kind of man who can be reasoned with. It’s his problem; it’s up to him to solve it. Don’t go thinking you’re the one with a problem though, okay?
