I’ve been dating this guy for eight months but it seems like I don’t really know him. He never shares his problems with me. It seems like he just wants to share all the fun but not his sorrows with me. I’ve started to wonder whether I still love him or not, but one thing is for sure though, I don’t want lose him as a friend even if we do break up. How do I know if I still love someone?

I think what we have here is a classic case of fear of intimacy. He’s fine with having fun, but he doesn’t want to open up to you. Let you see the real him. As you don’t know him all that well, not really know him inside, then you can’t fall in love with him. He’s all surface, so far… But it is only eight months and there is still time for him to let you in more. So give it time. Let it go to a year and see if he opens up a bit more and then see if your relationship gets deeper, more involved and, yes, more loving.

I think he just doesn’t want him to add to your problems. He maybe thinking that your a bit weak that’s why.
