Bad-tempered boyfriend
I’ve been married for two years, and my husband is a drug addict and abusive. His co-workers think he’s a nice person but with me he’s like a monster. He’s bad-tempered, moody and always hits me. I don’t know what to do. My love for him is turning into hate. He always promises to quit drugs but doesn’t follow through. Please help.

If your husband is hitting you, then you need to call the police, file a complaint and see it through. There is no excuse for violence. Ever. He can only get away with it while you allow him to. If you can’t face calling the police, then ask him to leave or try to leave yourself. You absolutely have to get away from this brute before he gets into a drugged-up rage one night and kills you. Don’t get pulled into the fantasy that he’ll change, that he’s not always like that, that he’s nice sometimes. He won’t change. Men like this never do. Please get out while you still can, but preferably turn him over to the police.
