Make-up made me look “trampy”
My boyfriend told me he thought my make-up made me look “trampy”, I was furious. I’ve compromised on my make-up style since meeting him but who did he think he was to say that? I haven’t returned his calls for two days. How should I proceed from here?

Standing up for yourself was the right thing to do, but it’s time for the silence to end lest he think he’s dumped. This is not a crime worth ending a relationship over and although he probably understands that he hurt your feelings, a discussion is still necessary. Tell him that your look is something you’re comfortable with, makes you feel confident and drew his attention in the first place. Also, point out that being described as “trampy” by the one who apparently cares for you more than any other was a hurtful experience. You’ve made your point, move on and let him make up for his behaviour.
