I don’t feel the same about him
A close male friend of one of my girlfriends is keen on me but I so don’t feel the same about him. I’ve tried to drop repeated hints to both him and my girlfriend that it just ain’t going to happen, but he keeps persisting and she keeps saying what a great couple we’d make. How do I deal with this?

Start by letting her know that this guy is just not your “type” - without going into specifics or being too critical. If you’re lucky, this info will make its way to him second-hand and save you from delivering it yourself. If he’s still knocking on the door, take him aside and let him know that although you think he’s a lovely guy, there’s just not the attraction that he feels. Don’t say anything that might give him undue hope, like “I’m not looking for a relationship right now”. Instead, ensure that he understands that it’s never going to happen and he has to let go of the idea.
