How can I coax him in to be introduced to meet my colleagues?
I have been in a new job for six months, but my husband refuses to meet my colleagues. When we’ve had company drinks, he’s happy to pick me up later, but would only call me from outside. How can I coax him in to be introduced?

It may not be that he doesn’t want to meet your co-workers. The reality of the situation is that he might be overwhelmed at the thought of being introduced to an entire room of people as “so and so’s husband”. For those who are naturally a bit shy, meeting new people can be an intimidating experience. The key is to introduce him to one or two people at a time so that when he does come up for drinks, he already knows a few people in the room.
