Small tiny bumps on my face

I’m a 20-year-old girl and I’ve begun to notice small tiny bumps on my face. They are mostly over both my cheeks, forehead and on the chin. They appear to be small and white. They are not pimples but after a while they’ll turn into blackheads. It’s making my face very rough. I’m not really sure if they are whiteheads but I am wondering what the cause is, how to get rid of them and prevent them from reappearing. After my pimple has healed, it will often leave behind a black spot which is very ugly. Is there anything I can do to get rid of the marks or at least prevent my pimples from leaving marks?

answer:
What you have described are whiteheads. They are the beginnings of pimples and when they get infected or dirt collects in them, they become blackheads. The treatment of pimples is fairly simple. Do not pick them and there will be less scarring. Wash your face more frequently and do not sleep late. Try not to touch your face with your hands as that can spread bacteria to your skin and exacerbate the problem. Get into a proper skincare regime of cleansing, toning and moisturising, together with an occasional exfoliating scrub and use of a weekly mask. Eat lots of fruits and vegetables and drink a lot of water. Do not go to smoky areas and stay away from too much sun. For removing the spots after the pimple has ruptured, you may need to see a doctor who can treat you with antibiotics to clear any infection in your skin. There are many topical creams containing benzoyl peroxide or Retin A which manage pimples very well. You do not need to go to commercial centres for facial treatment. See your family doctor who can prescribe you the medication mentioned.
