How safe is it to have nose surgery to reduce the size of your nose?
How safe is it to have nose surgery to reduce the size of your nose? How long will it take to recover and how much will it cost? I am thinking of undergoing such a procedure and am not sure what to expect.
answer:
Surgery for reducing the nose is done by surgeons who specialise in plastic surgery. As such, the surgery is safe in their hands. Surgeries involving the nose are known as rhinoplasties and the cost of such surgeries may vary from $1500 to $2500 onwards as the complexity of each case can be different. Whatever it is, you must be prepared to pay for a good plastic surgeon. Make sure you choose one carefully, with the right qualifications. The surgery can be done under local or general anesthesia. There is usually swelling of the nose after the surgery, which may take one to two weeks to subside. A splint is usually applied after the surgery to maintain the position of the nasal bone and decrease the swelling, and you will have to wear it until the doctor allows you to remove it.
