She likes this guy but denies it
I have a friend who likes this guy but denies it. I know she likes him because her face changes when I bring him up. I like him too but not seriously and my friend doesn’t know this. When I told her that I “like” him, she seemed calm. Now she keeps calling me! I don’t mind but I wonder: Why does she call me so often when in the past she didn’t? Is she closer to me now because she’s jealous of me?

This ail sounds very confusing to me. Why would your friend be jealous of you when you aren’t as keen on the man she likes as she is? Why not tell her this? Say, yes, you like him too but not as seriously as she does. And why, pray, haven’t you told her that before? Friends don’t keep these kind of secrets from each other so if you care about her, be a bit more open with her. And then help her to get with the man she wants. After all, I’d like to think she’d do the same for you if you liked a guy.
