I’m in love with my older brother’s best mate
Unfortunately my family disapproves of the relationship. He works abroad and we’ve secretly met a couple of times before. He wants me to meet his family and plans to marry me after I complete my studies, but I’m afraid of letting my family down. The situation is hopeless. What should I do?

Seems bit of a flimsy basis upon which to plan marriage, don’t you think? You’ve met this guy, what, a couple of times and now he wants to marry you? Perhaps the illicit nature of your relationship is part of the big attraction but be warned, once that’s gone, it might seem really rather ordinary. It seems a lot to risk upsetting your family for. Concentrate on your studies for now and maybe keep in touch with this guy and then, when you’re perhaps a freer agent, try to see him as another person, not some exciting character from romantic fiction.
