I don’t feel ready to marry my boyfriend
Recently, I met my pen pal Tom while on holiday and we had sex. I have a boyfriend back in my hometown and we’re planning to get engaged soon, I don’t want to betray him but I think I’ve fallen for Tom. My dad has met Tom and I can tell he doesn’t like him because he’s not the same race as me. What should I do?

Sounds like you’re too unsure of why you want to get engaged. Maybe your little fling with Tom was your way of rebelling? Of saying that you don’t feel ready to marry your boyfriend? Maybe your family expects you to marry because your boyfriend is, I presume, the same race as you whereas Tom is not? Be careful though, for what you think as love for Tom might just be the sweet taste of forbidden fruit. I think you’re too confused right now to get engaged to anyone, Give it time and then see how you feel.
