I would like a little more time with him
When I met my boyfriend, he was very independent - traveling a lot for weekends away to golf with his mates and so on. I loved this aspect of his personality, but two years on nothing has changed and I would like a little more time with him. Is it too late to alter the situation?

It’s not too late as such, but it ain’t gonna be easy. This is not only a pattern that existed before you arrived on the scene, but one you fostered. Amending it is going to require a great deal of tact plus the realisation that you may not get your way on this one. The best way to heighten any chances of success is by asking him to give up only the very rare weekend - then make it so damn special that he’ll be begging for another.
