One of my girlfriends has just started dating a guy I had a one-night stand with. It was the typical “I think you’re a special girl”, “We don’t have to do anything you don’t want to do”, “I’ll call you” and then I heard nothing from him. I even got the impression that he was cheating on someone else with me that night. Now I don’t know whether to tell my friend and save her from being treated like a casual fling.

By all means blab. At worst, you”re only going to make her more cautious of a man who has a track record for doing the root and scoot. At best, your suspicions will be proved wrong and he may have got his act together since you last crossed paths. You don’t know for sure that he was cheating on someone with you that night so it would be unfair to suggest that he might be unfaithful to your friend. However, the fact that all it took for you to jump into bed with this guy were a few trite lines needs to be addressed. I hope you’ve wised up.
