My back has dull gnawing pain

My back has this dull gnawing pain when I come home from work. What can I do to ease the pain?

Answer:
In general, back problems often start at work due to having strain put on the spine, which can lead to damage to the tissue. The strains could be either sudden (from lifting a heavy load awkwardly) or chronic (spending hours in a certain posture). This can traumatise, bruise and inflame muscles, which may go into spasm, injure ligaments, cause tiny vertebral joints to be misaligned or damage the discs between the vertebrae. If your job involves being seated in one spot for a prolonged period of time, this unchanging posturecan place a lot of tension on your lower back. See a doctor about your condition and ask your employer about ergonomic equipment or to give you regular breaks to lower the risk of repetitive stress injury, neck strain, and lower back and leg pain.
