There’s a big dance coming up at our school and there’s a guy I like a lot in one of my classes. He’s pretty shy, but I think he likes me. Should I ask him or will he think that’s too forward?

Asking a guy to a dance is a bit forward. But that doesn’t mean it shouldn’t be done. If you don’t know this guy, ask a friend to introduce him to you. Maybe he will get the hint and feel more comfortable asking you. Bring up the dance in conversation. If this doesn’t work, go for it and ask him. You have nothing to lose. He may say he’s already going with someone else. But you’ll never know unless you ask. Good luck!
