Ten Pounds to a Sexier You?
I’m overweight by about ten pounds, Would sex be more enjoyable if I lost the extra weight?
Answer:
I can’t help feeling frustrated when I hear healthy women yammer on about how everything in their lives a would be so much better if they dropped 10 or 15 pounds. You think Sophia Loren has spent her days worrying about her butt? She’s been too busy living.
You know that phrase, ‘It ain’t the meat, it’s the motion’? Well, I guess that applies here.
It’s not what your body looks like that makes a difference in how much you enjoy sex; it’s how you feel inside your body. And incidentally, there are no studies that suggest thin people enjoy sex more than fat people.
Still, there is something to be said for having a fit body good muscle tone will allow for greater flexibility, endurance and strength in and out of bed. Obese women (whose body weight is 30 percent over the ideal) would get more out of any kind of physical activity if they lost weight. But you’re not obese. Maybe you just feel self-conscious; it’s hard to be wild and uninhibited when you’re thinking, “Did he notice my bloat?” And if it’s your boyfriend, not you, who’s concerned about the ten extra pounds, tell him he’s free to go find his Betty Boop because you intend to find yourself a real man.
