Why the heck would a guy ask you to call him and then be cold and distant when you do?

Answer:
If a guy nonchalantly says, “Call me,” without meaningful eye contact, casual touching or more than a backward glance, he’s saying it just to be polite or to get out of a conversation. I’ve heard some women do this, too, saying to someone, “I’ll call you,” or “Give me a call sometime,” even though they have no intention of calling nor any expectation of actually hearing from you.

If this guy genuinely wanted to go out, he’d sound happy to hear from you. He’d say, “Oh, hi! Great to hear from you! I’m so glad you called.” Not, “Who? Oh, yeah, well, I gotta go into a meeting.” Unless his request was incredibly fervent, or he’s given you other signs that your call really is important to him, my advice is to forget it. Let him call you. New rule in life: Be interested only in people who are interested in you. Trust me, it’s better that way.

My husband had a kidney stone removed four years ago. Recently he had to have another removed four times bigger than the first. The stone analysis was 70 per cent uric acid. He was told to cut down on protein, dairy products and peanuts. He is 67 and after every operation it takes him longer to get his strength back. Doc also said there was some gout so he gave him a prescription he takes twice a day.

I started having attacks of a fast heartbeat which would come on all of a sudden for no apparent reason. They started when I was in my mid 20s and I am now 72 years old. They made me very weak if I didn’t get them stopped. I would lie down on my stomach and take a deep breath and hold it for a couple of seconds and then repeat. That stopped my heartbeat as quickly as it started. I had one of my spells come on me when I was in the doctor’s office and I laid down on the doctor’s table and it stopped as soon as it started. He couldn’t explain it to me but it works.
