Problem with My mom’s boyfriend
My mom’s boyfriend lives with us. He cheats on her and spends all her money. How can I convince her to get rid of him?
answer: As much as it hurts to see your mom being mistreated, you can’t force her to break up with her boyfriend. In fact, the more you complain about his behavior and beg her to dump him, the more she’s likely to defend him. Try talking to your mom when he’s not around. Start by telling her how much you love her. Then tell her that the situation makes you very sad and angry. If you keep the focus on your feelings, your mom will be more likely to hear you out. Hopefully, she’ll realize that she deserves to be treated better. If she doesn’t, you’ll need to figure out some ways to keep her destructive relationship from taking its toll on you.
